New football district assignments released

CRESCO - The Iowa High School Athletic Association released its new football district assignments for the 2020 season.
Crestwood will compete in Class 2A District 4 in 2020. Other schools in this district will include: Independence, New Hampton, North Fayette Valley, Oelwein and Waukon. A total of 16 teams will qualify for the playoffs in Class 2A, including nine automatic berths and seven at-large qualifiers.
Turkey Valley will play in Eight-Man District 2 in 2020. Other schools in this district will include: AGWSR, Clarksville, Janesville, Northwood-Kensett, North Iowa, Riceville, Rockford and Tripoli. A total of 16 teams will qualify for the playoffs in Eight-Man football, including eight automatic berths and eight at-large qualifiers.
Regular season schedules for all the districts will be released in March.
