Turkey Valley boys' fifth, girls' sixth at UIC Indoor Meet

DECORAH - Competing in the Upper Iowa Conference Indoor Meet at Luther last Monday, the Turkey Valley boys’ track team placed fifth with 60 points while the TV girls’ team took sixth with 40 points.

In the boys’ meet, Wyatt Blazek nabbed gold in the 55 meter dash in 6.56 seconds. Kyle Langreck was fourth in the 55 hurdles in 8.69, and he placed third in the high jump by clearing 5 feet, 6 inches. The 4x200 team placed first in 1:38.75.

In the girls’ meet, Sadie Nymeyer placed second for the Trojans in the 200 dash in 29.08, and she placed fifth in the long jump at 13 feet, 6.75 inches. The 4x200 and shuttle hurdle teams both placed fourth.
